Draft Watch – WR Marquise Goodwin

The Eagles last drafted a player from Texas in 1998.  That’s right, not once in the Reid era did the team draft a Longhors player.  Could that change in 2013?

Per this report, the Eagles showed serious interest in WR Marquise Goodwin at the Texas Pro Day.  Goodwin is an Olympic track star and has explosive speed.  He never posted great numbers at Texas, but didn’t get great QB play either.  Goodwin was very impressive at the Senior Bowl.  He showed the ability to get open deep, but also underneath.

Goodwin is a project, but a very talented player who could be a playmaker in the NFL.  He’s the kind of small, RAC weapon that Kelly liked at Oregon.  Get him the ball on a WR screen and let him do his thing.
