Is RB a Draft Target?

Jimmy Bama thinks the Eagles will draft a RB in the late rounds.

The Eagles have an excellent pair of RBs in Shady McCoy and Bryce Brown.  Chris Polk is #3, for now.  There is a need for depth and competition.  Jimmy shows the value in adding RBs late in the draft by pointing out Mike Shanahan’s draft history.  Jimmy also offers up a couple of names that may be of interest.

I agree that the Eagles should add a RB in the late rounds and the team will add at least one more as a UDFA.  Kelly is going to run aggressive, up-tempo practices.  He’ll need a group of RBs that can stay fresh and keep things moving at a quick pace.

Hey Tommy. I agree 100% with you and Jimmy. I was curious what you thought of these 3 names? (I posted the same it on his site, too. But I’m curious if you know anything regarding the Eagles showing interest/scheduling visits):

“(1)Zac Stacy, Vanderbilt. 5/9″, 216, 4.53, YAC monster, return experience, big year against tough SEC defenses, noted for strong character and leadership.
    (2) Knile Davis, Auburn- 6’0”, 220, 4.35, strong like bear. Obviously, health is concern….but had that bryce brown “wow” in 2010.
and heck, why not…add Miguel Maysonet (Stony Brook) to the list. I love the kid; somehow, ESPN has blown him up nationally, and his interviews remain impressive.”

Don’t have good opinion on Stacy yet.

Davis is boom/bust guy. Looked great in 2010, but injuries have hurt him since. Can he get back to that form?

Kniles Davis went to Arkansas and the eagles have already had a workout/visit with him. Kerwynn Williams from utah is another guy you should check out. Eagles also visited with Marcus Lattimore who could be a late round pick up or fa bc of injuries, chip kelly also recruited him to oregon.
