Jeff McLane Draft Predictions

Jeff McLane of the Inquirer offered up some draft predictions. Two of the more interesting are:

1 – The Eagles will not draft Dion Jordan.

This comes across as pure speculation. Maybe Jeff has heard something and just wanted to deliver the info in a safe way.

2 – Vinny Curry will be on the trade block.

I’ve gone back and forth on this.  Curry isn’t an ideal fit for the new defense (based on what we know). That said, he was a 2nd round pick last year and the front office may be hesitant to give up on him so quickly. If the Eagles could get a 3rd round pick, they might do that. Solid value. I don’t think they’ll give him away.

I’d hate to get rid of Curry after one year. I understand the process, the change, new defensive front…….. but I was so freaking happy that he fell to us last year. Couldn’t believe it, actually.

Thought that he could be a solid contributor for us, even if he was a bit miscast this year. Can’t get rid of him for less than a higher 3 this year, or as part of a package to get a better pick in higher rounds.

I think Jeff was hangin’ out with Snoop Lion on 4/20

Giving up Curry for a 3rd when he was a 2nd without even really seeing what he can do sucks.

But he was drafted at the very bottom of the 2nd Rd. That’s the only reason I’d be okay with a 3rd.

      I prefer to keep him.

Come to think of it that *was* needless to say.
