Head Coach Kevin Sumlin?

There is a report from a Texas A&M blogger that Aggies coach Kevin Sumlin was offered the Eagles head coaching job last January. Sheil Kapadia has the details.

It is my understanding that the Eagles talked to him, but things did not get to the point that they offered him the job. Sumlin was an assistant at Oklahoma before doing great things as head coach at the University of Houston. That got him the Aggies job. And Sumlin did great things there last year. He is a red hot name.

The question now is if he stays in college or does have interest in pro football. Sumlin does run an aggressive, no-huddle, spread offense. You can certainly see where the Eagles would have been interested.
