FOX News

No wait, not FOX News, but rather some news on FOX. They’ve made some changes to the broadcast teams for 2013.

1. Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Pam Oliver

2. Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston, Tony Siragusa

3. Thom Brennaman, Brian Billick, Laura Okmin

4. Kevin Burkhardt, John Lynch, Erin Andrews

5. Chris Myers, Tim Ryan, Jennifer Hale

6. Dick Stockton, Ronde Barber, Kris Budden

7. Sam Rosen, Heath Evans, Molly McGrath

FOX paid hundreds of millions of dollars for the rights to NFC games. And this is the best group of announcers they could come up with? Yikes.

I pray the Eagles aren’t awful this year. The thought of getting stuck with groups 6 and 7 is simply torturous.

I’ve also got my fingers crossed that group 4, which is new, does well.

Apparently they’re only hiring women for Tony Siragusa’s type of job huh?

  2. Dan says:

Ugh, I just know we’re gonna be loaded with games with teams 6 & 7. Maybe a game or two of Brian Billick’s non-sense as well

  3. Mike says:

My favorite thing about Kenny Albert is that he starts each broadcast cleanly shaven and has a near full beard by the start of the 4th quarter.

  4. Dan in Philly says:

I was hoping for news on Megan Fox…

  5. A Roy says:

I am so sick of Buck. He rode the old man’s coattails to get where he is and thinks it’s because of his talent. Aikman’s okay. I can put up with Team 2 if Goose doesn’t talk too much. Geez, looking at these announcers, you want to make extra effort to listen to Merrill Reese do the game.

  6. SteveH says:

Oh boy, they’re letting Heath Evans near a microphone on gameday? That’s gonna be a shitshow.

  7. Dan M says:

The Eagles will almost certainly get the #6 and #7 crews unless the team wins early. Looks like we will be turning down the sound and listening to Merrill and Mike. Nothing wrong with that.

Last year at the Tampa game I was sitting in the front of the endzone and Jennifer Hale walked by. I have the same seats this year and pray to God that we get that broadcast team again! If you’ve never seen her in person, you can’t imagine what you’re missing.
