Backup OL Update

Tobin played G and T in college. He’s fine at both spots. Bamiro would be a huge OG. I think he’s a more natural fit at RT. Will be interesting to see where he lines up next spring and summer.

Earl Wolff Update

Sounds like he might be okay to begin the game, but it’s anybody’s guess how long he’s able to keep playing.

Division Leaders and Fatal Flaws

The always excellent Doug Farrar of SI.com wrote a piece showing the fatal flaw for each of the NFL’s division leaders. Guess what the Eagles big issue is. You get a cookie if you chose “pass defense”.

The Eagles will come into the postseason as one of the teams that nobody wants to deal with if they take the Dallas Cowboys next Sunday night and win the NFC East. But when facing pass-heavy offenses, the Eagles’ defense is one that can be exploited. Defensive coordinator Billy Davis has done a good job this season getting his charges to play well in the front seven, but there are question marks in the secondary, to be sure. Philadelphia’s pass defense has struggled in particular with route combinations that involve crossing patters, either at the line of scrimmage or downfield…

Very true.

TO is a Funny Guy

It really is sad that he forced his way out of Philly. He would have been a fan favorite forever if he just stayed a couple of more years.

Tough Times For Big D

No matter what happens on Sunday, Dallas has some long term issues.

Will Romo’s back be an issue going forward?

Who will be the coach?

Will Jerry Jones continue to Jerry Jones kind of things?

And this…
