RG-Sensitive

If true, this report from Mike Silver is mind-blowing. Silver had this to say about RG3 and the Skins.

“This could be coming to a head,” Silver said. “Inside the building, we talked to people familiar with the situation, they perceive RGIII as kind of insecure, specifically about Kirk Cousins, which may be one reason he (RGIII) was so eager to rush back. At Baylor (University), they didn’t put RGIII‘s bad plays up on the board in the meeting rooms. Sources familiar with the situation say he has asked the Redskins to do the same. They have refused to up to this point.”

Are you freaking kidding me? Don’t show my bad plays???

I am floored. If this is true.

There were some reports of RG3 being a bit soft at Baylor. The word “coddled” was used by some. That would certainly mesh with this report.

There is a lot of angst in DC because RG3 doesn’t seem to want to take any blame. You need a QB who is tough enough to handle the bad times. There is no doubt that RG3 is a great talent, but it sounds like he’s got some issues to work through if he really wants to be a great player.

Jerry Jones Loves Jerry Jones

Merry Christmas, Eagles fans. Jerry Jones is happy with himself.

Jerry Jones the owner loves the job that Jerry Jones the general manager is doing.

“The facts are that I really do think the way things have rolled out that I’m getting to do some of the best work that I’ve done, relatively speaking in my career of these last several years,” Jones said on KRLD-FM, via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Jones does a terrible job of evaluating his organization and making smart changes. As a rival fan, this is a man you definitely want in charge. Jones said he plans to run the Cowboys another 15 to 20 years. Consider that the gift that keeps on giving.

Kelly Opening Some Eyes

Pete Prisco is a national NFL writer for CBS Sports. Back in January 2012, he posted this on Twitter.

Prisco has had to change his mind. He just wrote a lengthy piece on the Eagles and how well they are playing right now.

So as you can see, the Eagles are doing a lot of good things as they head to their bye week and prepare for their final five games. Those two lines are the keys to the success, but Foles’ ability to play with calm and poise, with McCoy’s greatness, are also big reasons why the Eagles are the favorites in the NFC East.

Pete did offer praise for Kelly’s scheme in the article. He also mentioned that the team might have the best OL in the league. They have played well recently and are certainly one of the best lines.
