The Eagles tried to trade back into the 3rd round to get QB Matt Barkley. Didn’t happen. As soon as the 3rd round was over, GM Howie Roseman got busy working the phones. He wanted to move up in the 4th round.
As it turns out, that was a good thing. Reportedly, the Raiders were set to take Barkley. They had the #3 pick in the 4th round. The Eagles had #4, but traded to get the opening pick of the round.
